Giles Kenneth Gambrell, 72, of Port Arthur, died
Thursday, November 12, 2015. He was born
on November 2, 1943, in Port Arthur,
to Josefa Tomassini Gambrell and Giles Darwin Gambrell. Kenneth served his country in the United
States Air Force during the Vietnam
era and later worked for Huntsman as a Senior Operator.
Kenneth served as Chief of the
Volunteer Fire Department in Shamrock Shores in Milam and a Volunteer First Responder for Sabine County.
Survivors include his wife of
forty years, Carole “Betty” Gambrell; children, Teresa Jones “C.J.” and her
spouse, Gija Ramo, of San Antonio; Todd Gambrell and his wife, Sharon, of
Groves; Kelly Gambrell-Tesoro of Jacksonville, Florida; Kim Pratt and her
husband, Troy, of Lumberton; Thomas Jones and his fiancée, Kathy, of Lumberton;
and Eric Gambrell and his wife, Laurie, of Groves; grandchildren, Kenneth
Heisner of Houston; Lindsey Pratt of Lumberton; Constance Harriford and her
husband, Jonathon, of Jacksonville, Florida; Rachel Gambrell Hadnot and her
husband, Micah, of Woodville; Krista Gambrell of Groves; and Jonathon Jones of
San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Harriford and Alyssa Harriford of
Jacksonville, Florida; Lyric, Hayden, Quintyn, Autumn, and Marcus, all of
Woodville; and Maverick and Maddox, both of Groves; and siblings, Jarvis
Gambrell and his wife, Carolyn, James Gambrell, Katrina Gambrell, and Darwin
“Butch” Gambrell and his wife, Candy; and sister-in-law, Kay Ann Gambrell. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter,
Shikara Tesoro; and brother, Donald Gambrell.
A gathering of Mr. Gambrell’s
family and friends will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015, at 105 Hunters Court, Lumberton, Texas 77657, for anyone who wishes to come
by and pay their respects.
His committal was held at
Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
