Carl Louie Williams, Jr., 70, of Warren, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at
Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on
May 25, 1945, in Silsbee, to Lillie Mae Moore Williams and Carl Louie Williams,
Sr.
Carl served in the United States Army for three years as a
medic. He began his career at Kirby
Plywood Plant where he worked for three years as a millwright until he went to
work for Mead Westvaco Paper Mill, where he retired following thirty years of
dedicated employment. Carl loved his job
and everyone he worked with knew Carl as “Catfish”.
Carl was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Lamey Williams of Warren;
children, Tobey Lynn Williams, Sr. and his wife, Lyn of Baytown; Carl Allen
Williams and his wife, Deloria, of Silsbee; Kristy Spring Hendrix and her
husband, Larry, of Warren; Andy Todd Williams of Warren; and Kayla Ann Williams
and her fiancé, Alex of Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather; Brandon; Shelbi and
her husband, Tyler; Hillary; Hunter; Tobey Lynn, Jr.; Brooklyn; Joshua and his
wife, Lauren; Jacob and his wife, Heather; Carl Louie, III; Kimberly and her
husband, Yash; J.T.; Brianna; Koltin; Jenny; and Alyssa; nine
great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Lynn and his wife, Belma; Frankie and his
wife, Helen; and Johnny; sisters, Linda; JoAnne; Bertie Mae; Mary Nell; Carolyn
and her husband, David; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family
members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae and Carl
Louie Williams, Sr.; sister, Helen; and brother-in-law, Ray.
A gathering of Mr. Williams’ family and friends will be from
5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be
11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to
follow at Knupple
Cemetery, Silsbee.
