Byron Berford Fredieu

Byron Berford Fredieu, 86, of
Spurger, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at his home. He was born on February 17, 1929, in St.
Maurice, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana,
to Armatha Fredieu and Berford “Buck” Fredieu.
Byron served his country in the United
States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne during World War
II. He married Maryvonne Hooks on
December 22, 1951, and they lived in Spurger for fifty-seven years. He was a Logging Supervisor for Kirby, where
he retired in December 1986 after twenty-eight years of service.
Survivors include his wife of
sixty-four years, Maryvonne Hooks Fredieu; sons, Gary Fredieu and his wife,
Sherri, of Fannett; Terry Fredieu of Spurger; and Eddie Fredieu and his wife,
Beverly, of Spurger; daughter, Tina Fredieu Hanks and her husband, Danny of
Spurger; grandchildren, Danny Fredieu and his wife, Kasey, of Spurger; Chris
Hanks and his wife, Jaclyn, of Missouri City; Amanda Baldwin and her husband,
Josh, of Beaumont; and Randall Fredieu of Spurger; great-grandchildren, Adyson,
Khloe, and Kinsler Baldwin, Colton Fredieu, and Alexis and Maddison Drake; and
brothers, Horace Fredieu of Vidor and Jack “Tiny” Fredieu of Prosper. He is preceded in death by his parents; and
brother, Houlen Fredieu.
A gathering of Mr. Fredieu’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November
5, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490
Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m.,
Friday, November 6, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Turner Branch
Cemetery, Spurger.
