Michael "Mike" Henry Hayes

Michael “Mike” Henry Hayes, 60, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 24, 2015. He was born on May 17, 1955, in Warren, Arkansas, to Marie Smith and Curtis Henry Hayes, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Mike enjoyed playing poker, fishing, playing dominoes and Dallas Cowboys. He was a very loving, supportive man to all of his loved ones; willing to teach anyone anything they wanted to learn. Mike was a jack of all trades who never met a stranger. His home was open to all. Mike was a faithful supporter of the legalization of marijuana. A hard worker and a great man, he will be loved and missed.

Survivors include daughters, Lisa Hayes of Beaumont, Michelle Darby of Kountze, and Stacey Montgomery of Beaumont; son, Jason Dupree and his wife, Ashley, of Nederland; grandchildren, Nicole, Phillip, Tiffany, Brittany, Terrance, Kristian, Bryan, Shawn, and Tyler; nine great-grandchildren; mother, Marie Hayes of Beaumont; sister, Carol Bailey and her husband, Dennis, of Beaumont; brothers, Cecil Hayes and his wife, Misty, of Beaumont and Jerry Hayes and his wife, LaQuita, of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Alice and Loretta Hayes; and brother-in-law, Arnold Northcutt.

Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hayes; father, Curtis Henry Hayes; brothers, Curtis Lynn Hayes and Roy Dean Hayes; great-grandchild, Carmalynn; and many extended family and friends.
