David Temple

David Temple, son of Adolph and Ruby Temple, passed quietly at home surrounded by family and friends.  Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, David’s family included Mary, loving wife of 55 years; sons Jimmy and wife Kathy of Chesapeake, VA, and John and wife Ruth of New Caney, TX; grandchildren Tiffanie, Jill, Austin and Ryan; great grandchildren Kaylie and Connor; brother Allen and wife Joyce of Colmesneil, TX, and their children Gina, Greg and Ronnie. 

Growing up in Port Arthur, David graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959.  Shortly after high school, David joined the Navy then moved to Pasadena, Texas, where he worked for Houston Lighting and Power, retiring after 32 years.  After retiring, David and wife Mary moved to their away home on Hillebrandt Bayou.  David loved playing the piano for his many friends and family, and doing woodwork in his shop.  Often stubborn and hard-headed, David was known for his loyal and giving nature.  Long-time member of Hillebrandt Bayou Country Club, David’s fondest memories were with his friends and family on the bayou.

 A celebration of life was held with family and close friends.
