Virginia
Ann (Husbands) Major, 63, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015,
at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston. A native of Beaumont, she was born on March
21, 1952, to Andriana “Nina” Husbands and Milton Husbands, Sr. She graduated from Beaumont High School and
attended Lamar University.
Virginia touched the lives of so many people professionally
and personally. She was an accountant for nearly twenty years. Virginia had a
passion for dolls and was a professional in doll restoration.
Virginia
is survived by her husband, David Major, of Beaumont; brother, Dr. Milton
Husbands, Jr. and his wife, Cazzie, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; stepchildren, Mike
Majcher and his wife, Teri and Andrew
Majcher; and cousin, Alexa Cook; and nieces and nephews, Paige Grojean and her
husband, Kurt and Mark Husbands and his wife, Caty.
The
Major Family would like to thank, Dr. Patrick Brady and Dr. Nathan Harris of
Dallas, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Karyl Stewart, and to the doctors,
nurses and staff at M.D. Anderson and Baptist Hospital, Beaumont for their
support and care.
A
gathering of Virginia’s family and friends will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by
her Trisagion at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday,
October 3, 2015, at St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 690 North
15th Street, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery,
Beaumont. Serving as pallbearers are Dr. Michael O’Shell, Jim Keriotis, Paul
Majcher, John Majcher, Bob Poffenbarger, and Brian Costley.
