Kathy Jane
Brown-Gallier was born on September 18, 1958, has gone to be with her Lord and
Savior on September 27, 2015. She was the daughter of Doris Orlean Spruill and
late John David “J.D.” Brown. Kathy was kindhearted, always putting others
before herself. Her fun-loving personality brought laughter and comfort to
everyone who knew her.
She grew up in Lumberton
with her three brothers and graduated from Lumberton High School
in 1977 where she participated in cheerleading and drill team. She continued her education at Lamar University
where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1987. Her career as a medical
professional included working as a ICU and flight nurse then started the first
home health infusion care company, known today as Option Care. Her passion to help others continued later in
her career teaching nursing students at area colleges.
She is survived by her husband of
eleven years, Randy Gallier of Beaumont; daughter, Jessica Gray of Lumberton;
son, Justin Gray of Lumberton; brothers, David Brown and his wife, Mary; Pat
Brown and his wife, Amy; and Robert Brown, all of Lumberton; stepdaughters,
Kristin King and her husband, Scott, of Sour Lake and Hannah Gallier of Orange;
grandchildren, Trayce, Brailee, Kallynne, and Sadie; and numerous nephews and
nieces that she loved dearly.
A gathering of Mrs. Gallier’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1,
2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 10:00
a.m., Friday, October 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Pine Ridge
Cemetery, Kountze.
