Jamie Bertrand, 38, of
Beaumont, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at St. Luke’s Episcopal
Hospital, Houston. She was born on December 5, 1976, in Lake Charles, Louisiana,
to Terry Leviner and Johnny Leviner, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.
Jamie was a registered nurse with Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital,
Nederland.
As a loving wife and
mother, she devoted her whole heart and life to her family. Jamie was very compassionate,
loving, faithful, caring, and brilliant. She dedicated her entire life serving
and helping others. Jamie was passionate about music. She is the love of
Christopher’s life.
Jamie is survived by
her husband, Christopher Bertrand; and daughter, Elisabella Bertrand, both of
Beaumont; father, Johnny Leviner and his fiancée, Carol Greb, of Houston;
mother, Terry Abshire and her husband, Steve, of Lake Charles, Louisiana;
brothers, Cory Leviner and Rusty Abshire, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Zach
Leviner and Adam Bills, and David Bills, all of Beaumont; sisters, Heather
Draughn, Stephanie Lavergne, and Kyla Abshire; and maternal grandmother, Joan Nutt, all of Lake, Charles, Louisiana.
A gathering of Jamie’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, September
18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service
will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Broussard’s, with her
interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
