Teddy Eugene Loupe, 85, of Fannett, died Sunday, September
13, 2015, in Beaumont. He was born May 17, 1930, in Beaumont, to Carmen and
Charles Loupe.
At an early age, Ted moved to Fannett, where he resided the
rest of his life. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a
charter member of the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus. He had been a Lector, for over fifty years,
until 2011, when he retired from that positon. Ted was known as the “ice tea
man’, making tea for all church functions, including the Texas Rice Festival.
Ted is survived by daughters, Patricia Craigen, of Katy and
Brandy LeBlanc, of Austin; grandson, Keaton LeBlanc, of Austin; numerous
nieces, nephews and many godchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of fifty-seven
years, Mary Bell Loupe; sister-in-law Betty Taylor and her husband, J.H. “Bub”
Taylor; brother-in-laws, Larry LeBlanc, Sr.; and L.T. LeBlanc and his wife,
Betty Jane; two brothers and four sisters.
A gathering of Ted’s family and friends will be from 5:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September
17, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at St.
Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with interment to follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Mary Ruth, and his special friend, Grace Richard, for bringing him joy.
