Alvin "Jay" Breaux

Alvin “Jay” Breaux, 78, of
Winnie, died Friday, September 11, 2015, at The Arboretum of Winnie. He was
born on February 20, 1937, in Orange, to Lillie Grace Leger and Alvin Joseph
Breaux, Sr., and had been a longtime resident of the area.
Jay enjoyed photography, fishing,
playing roller hockey, watching football, and old movies. He also loved to play
jokes on people. Jay was a member of the Beaumont Optimist Club. He will be
remembered as a kind man. Jay was an animal lover and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of
forty-seven years, Peggy Breaux, of Fannett; son, Alvin “Joey” Breaux III and
his wife, Raquel, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Robert Wynn Breaux
and his wife, Belinda, of Fannett; sister, Mary Candice “Sue” Breaux, of
Winnie; and grandchildren, Chass Breaux, of Austin and Willow Breaux; as well
as many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his
parents; and brother-in-law, Paul Burnett.
A gathering of Mr. Breaux’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, September
14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. His graveside service
will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015, with sister-in-law Belinda
Breaux officiating, at Fairview Cemetery, 223 Cemetery Road, Winnie.
