Barbara Ticaric, 93, of Beaumont, died
Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was
born on August 27, 1922, in Beaumont, to Mary Angeline Ortiz May and Matthew
Ortiz.
Barbara
was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, and a devoted member of First United
Methodist Church, Beaumont and the church’s Alpha Omega class. She was a
longtime employee of R.O. Williams Insurance as well as T.E. Moore Insurance in
Beaumont.
Barbara
is survived by her only son, Dr. Stephen T. Ticaric, MD, of Gallatin,
Tennessee; grandson, Matthew Ticaric, of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter,
Anne Marie Ticaric Hunter, of East Providence, Rhode Island; great-grandchildren;
Oliver Ticaric and Alice Ticaric, of Nashville, Tennessee and Arrow Hunter, of
East Providence, Rhode Island.
She
is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Steven M. Ticaric;
brother, Joseph Ortiz; and parents, Mary Angeline Ortiz May and Matthew Ortiz.
Barbara
will be remembered for her graciousness to everyone as well as her love and
care for her family and friends.
A
gathering of Mrs. Ticaric’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Ave,
Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015,
at Broussard’s, with private family interment to follow.
In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara
