Ethel Kay Blankenship, 73, of Nederland died September 5, 2015. She was born on November 20, 1941, in Fort Worth, to Mary Ricketts Blankenship and Louis Homer Blankenship.

Ethel retired after thirty years as a legal secretary and was an animal lover.

Survivors include her brothers, Billy Blankenship and his wife, Sandra, of Beaumont; L.H. Blankenship of Herford; and Robert Blankenship and his wife, Betty, of Cisco; sister, Barbara McDaniel and her husband, Bill, of Haltom City; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Nona Armstrong and Mickey Bruyere.

A private family committal for Miss. Blankenship will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
