Marilyn
S. Douglas, 69, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Baptist
Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.
She was born in Walters, Oklahoma, on May 20, 1946, to Bertha Watts
Foster and Clifton Foster.
Marilyn
was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She
is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Travis D. Douglas; daughters, Angela
Draper, of Port Arthur; Tamara Stokely and her husband, Wayne, of Hamshire; and
Jeri Miller and her husband, Troy, of Keller; granddaughters, Jenny Draper;
Shauntel Stokely; Lauren Brownlee and her husband, Kevin; and Shealyn and
Krista Stokely; grandsons, Hayden Miller and Shane Stokely;
great-grandchildren, Alexis Stokely, Allyson Williams, Braelyn Stokely, Zoe
Brownlee, Kylie Brownlee, and Dawson Stokely; and numerous extended family members
and friends.
Marilyn
is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Clifton Foster; and brother,
Richard Donald Foster.
Burial
of Mrs. Douglas’ cremated body will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015,
at Walters Cemetery, Highway 5, Walters, Oklahoma, under the direction of
Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, 202 East Colorado Avenue, Walters, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements were handled by
Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
