David Dean

David Dean, 57, of Nederland died Tuesday, August 25, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on June 16, 1958, in Beaumont, to Lois June Summers and Robert Edd Dean.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, and making people laugh. He was one of the best to have around a campfire. David loved his church.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Pam Dean of Nederland; sons, Adam Dean  and his wife, Brittani, of Franklin, Tennessee and Jordan Dean of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Robert Dean and his wife, Sharie, of Rose City; Danny Dean of Vidor; and Doug Dean and his wife, Becky, of Kirbyville; sisters, Sandy Dinsmore of Beaumont and Laurie Hanks of Vidor; mother and step-father, Lois and Tommy Thompson of Vidor; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janette and Carroll Landry of Nederland; in-laws, Tammy and Harold Walker of Nederland and Terry and Craig Landry of Lumberton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of Mr. Dean’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Nederland, with a committal service at 2:00 p.m., at Antioch Cemetery, FM 1746, Woodville, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
