Michael Adam Brown
April 2, 1976 - August 16, 2015
Adam Brown, 39, of Silsbee, peacefully
won his courageous battle against cancer on Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was
born on April 2, 1976, in Beaumont,
and was the son of Deborah Ann Flanakin Brown and Thomas Maples Brown. Adam was
a repair technician with AT&T for 16 years.
Adam loved and was loved by
many. He was fiercely loyal to his
family and friends. He idolized his Paw
and was his mother’s protector every chance he got. Adam had a passion for music and fishing. If he wasn’t at a concert on the weekend, you
could most likely find him on the lake.
He loved Texas Country music and his enthusiasm gave everyone around him
a love for it as well. He taught himself
how to play the guitar and never left home without one. Adam’s kindness and generosity touched the
lives of almost everyone he came into contact with. Never one to shy away, he sought out
opportunities to help others in need.
Adam leaves behind his mother;
sister, Amanda Brown Simon and her husband, Jason; nieces, Abigail Simon and
Juliann Simon; grandmother, Bonnie Flanakin; uncle, Rusty Flanakin and his
wife, Ann, all of Silsbee; cousins, Elizabeth Briggs and her husband, Tim, of
Tomball; and Matt Flanakin and his wife, Dana, of Lumberton.
He is preceded in death by his
father and grandfather, Julian Flanakin.
A gathering of Adam’s family and
friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His memorial service will be
10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow
at R.S. Farmer Memorial
Cemetery, Silsbee
