Bennie Rawls
Crosby, 93, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 12, 2015,
surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1921, in Emilee,
Texas, to Gilder and Ben Rawls. Bennie retired from Baptist Hospital after many
years of faithful service in the admitting office.
She was a loving
wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Bennie
was a member of North End Baptist Church, Beaumont.
Those left to
cherish Bennie’s beautiful memory are her daughters, Linda Mack, of Lumberton
and Cheryl Boykin and her husband, Charles, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Brian
Mack and his wife, Lori; David Boykin and his wife, Morgan; Erik Mack; Matthew
Pozzebon; and Heather Tucker; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Taylor, and Tyler
Tucker, Whitney and William Mack, and Madeline Boykin; sisters-in-law, Opal
Crosby and Florence Crosby; and nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband,
Preston Crosby; parents; sister, Ella Wayne Walker; brothers, Herschel and
James Rawls; and son-in-law, Billy Mack.
A gathering of Mrs. Crosby’s
family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00
p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015, Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Her graveside service will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery, FM 256, Colmesneil.
