Barry Wilkins, 62, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Magnolia Manor, Groves. He was born on August 6, 1953, in Kountze, to Josephine Clark Wilkins and Louis E. Wilkins. Barry had worked in the oilfield.
Survivors include his children, Kimberly Ann Glenn of Beaumont and Scotty Wayne Wilkins of Lumberton; grandchildren, Michael Wade Phelps, Billy Phelps, Joshua Scott Phelps, Lauren Ann Wilkins, Zachary Doyle Hinsley, and Braeden Thomas Hinsley; mother, Josephine Wilkins of Sour Lake; brothers, James Elmer Wilkins and his wife, Maxine; Monroe Wilkins and his wife, Diana; Harry Wilkins and his wife, Jennifer; and Jim Wilkins and his wife, Donna Kay, all of Sour Lake; and sister, Mary Jo Lands of Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Wilkins; and brother, David Wilkins.
A gathering of Mr. Wilkins’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Old Grayburg Cemetery, Grayburg.
