Dujuana Ruiz, 61, of Edinburg, died Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was born on June 23, 1954, in Vidor, to Bertha Bourgeois Benoit and Joseph Benoit.
Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Robert Ruiz, Jr.; sons, Robert Michael Ruiz of Sulphur, Louisiana and Christopher Todd Ruiz of New Haven, Connecticut; grandchildren, Presleigh, Avonlea, Creed, Slade, Bryce, and Brianna; and siblings, Veronica Rushing, Germaine Daley, Loretta Singleton, Joe Benoit, Beverly Mahan, Ionna Redmon, Tammy Stark, Krissy McKinley, and Nina Felix.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Joseph Benoit; son, Timothy Shaun Ruiz; and grandson, Seth Ruiz.
A Rosary for Mrs. Ruiz will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
