James "Bigfoot" C. Jordan

James C. “Bigfoot” Jordan,
78, of Nederland died Friday, July 10, 2015. He was born on May 30, 1937, in Bay
Minette, Alabama, to Inez Dean and Irvin Jordan.
James graduated from Port Neches –Groves High School in
1955. He worked as a pipefitter at Texaco and Star Enterprises for forty-two
years and was a member of the Pipefitters Local #195.
Survivors include his childhood sweetheart and wife of
fifty-nine years, Gail Jordan of Nederland; daughters, Robin Jordan Franks and
her husband, Scott, of Nederland and Deanna Jordan Bresee and her husband, Tom,
of Lumberton; son, Randy Jordan and his wife, Natalie, of LaBelle;
grandchildren, Aaron Franks; Jason Franks and his wife, Jenifer; Angee Franks;
Amanda Jordan; Laura Jones and her husband, Justin; Sarah Lambert; and Trey Lambert;
two great-grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Dean Martin and Robert Mainord, Jr.;
niece, Shelby Martin; and nephew, Greg Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Patsy
Martin and Shirley Jordan.
A gathering of Mr. Jordan’s family and friends will be from
5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14,
2015, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with a graveside service at 1:30p.m., at Pine
Ridge Cemetery, 13430 FM 421, Sour Lake.
