Marilyn Ann Cormier

Marilyn Ann Cormier, 65, of Winnie, died Tuesday, July o7, 2015. She was born on May 16, 1950, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Hazel Stutes and Whitney Cormier. Marilyn was a fifty-eight year resident of the Winnie area.

Ms. Cormier is survived by daughter, Megan Cormier, of Winnie; sister, Ruth Leger and her husband, Jerrell, of Winnie; brother-in-law, Walter King, of Lakey; granddaughters, Kendal Kirksey and Kyra Briggs; nieces, Angie Vanderpool and Misty Cleveland; and nephew, Chad King.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda King.

A gathering of Ms. Cormier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, July 10, 2015, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s. 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
