Joyce Cuniff
October 17, 1925 - July 6, 2015
Joyce Mae Cuniff, 89, of Nederland, died Monday, July 6,
2015. She was born on October 17, 1925, in Hayes, Louisiana, to Zula Rougeau
and Willie Jeanis.
Joyce was an LVN at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital for many
years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed flowers and working in her garden.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Randy Boutte of Nederland and
Calvin Boutte and his wife, Susan, of Franklin, Tennessee; daughter, Cheryl
Bourg of Nederland; grandchildren, Raphe Landon Boutte, Evan Reed Boutte,
Michelle Bourg Lollar, Talitha Bourg, Jessie Daniel Bourg, and Emily Bourg; and
great-grandchildren, Austin, Brennan, Patience, Maddok, Joyce, Alurra, Cain,
and Justin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Zula
Jeanis; brother, Fred Jeanis; son, John Russell, Sr.; grandson, John Russell,
Jr.
A memorial service for Ms. Cuniff will be at 2:00 p.m.,
Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Thriving House Church, 9401 Memorial Boulevard, Port
Arthur. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium,
Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland.
