Peggy Latiolais Evans

Peggy Latiolais Evans, 86, of Beaumont, died Sunday, June 28, 2015. She was born on June 17, 1929, in St. Martinville, Louisiana, to Stanie Barras and Albert Latiolais. Peggy loved fishing and playing bingo. She was a member of the VFW Post Auxiliary #1806 and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Richard and her husband, Joe and Polly Hein, both of LaBelle; grandchildren, Chad Hein and his wife, Chrystal and Edward Hein and his wife, Charity, both of Fannett; Brian Richard of LaBelle; Joe Richard of Norcross, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Justin Richard of LaBelle; Logan Richard of Edmonton, Canada; Thomas Hein; Mason Hein;  and Landon Hein, all of Fannett; brother, Carroll Latiolais of Plano; and special friend, Faye Plummer.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Evans; sister, Jean Latiolais; and brother, Richard Latiolais.

A gathering of Mrs. Evan’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
