Shirley
Roblow Robbins 82, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Summer Place
Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on June 8, 1933, in Mansfield,
Louisiana, to Mary Lou Marino and Willie Roblow, and had been a longtime
resident of Beaumont. Shirley was a retired co-owner of Korect Builders, Inc.
She
was a longtime charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of St.
Pius Ladies. Shirley spent a lot of her time working with various committees within
the church. She had many hobbies such as, fishing, shopping, cooking, and
gardening. Shirley had a special love for animals of all kind. She enjoyed
spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was a beautiful, loving, caring person. We will miss her dearly.
She
is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, James A. Robbins, of Beaumont;
children, Ronda Jones, Bill Robbins, and Christy Robbins, all of Beaumont;
grandchildren, Josh Jones, Jeremiah Jones, Carli Robbins, and Cassidy Robbins;
great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Logan Jones, Audi Gordy, and Brody Russell;
sister, Pauline Tanner; and brother, Ted Roblow, both of Beaumont; and nieces, Cindy
Carpenter and Jan Sims.
Shirley
is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Willie Andress and Trudy
Duhon.
A
Rosary for Mrs. Robbins will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of her
family and friends to follow, Monday, June 15, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00
a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road,
Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
