Margaret
“Maggie” Wilkerson, 81, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 4, 2015. She was born
on July 4, 1933, in Chidester, Arkansas, to Pearl Belle Stobaugh and Cornelis
Jones. Maggie had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.
She
is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Jerry Wilkerson; daughter,
Colleen Melissa Gillette, of Beaumont; son, Waverly Clay Wilkerson, of
Beaumont; brother, Lewis Harold Jones and his wife, Shirley, of Atlanta,
Georgia; grandchildren, Thomas Wilkerson, of Austin and Kammie Aguinaldo and
her husband, Timothy, of Houston; and one great-grandchild, Kato Aguinaldo, of
Houston.
Maggie
is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Thomas Neal Wilkerson.
Visitation
for Maggie’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral
service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont. Interment
will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s,
1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maggie’s name to a
charity of one’s choice.
