Arthur
Lee Goodeaux, Sr., 84, of China, died Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was born on
May 27, 1931, in Welsh, Louisiana, to Clemence Goudeau and Joseph Roy Goodeaux,
and had been a longtime resident of China. He was a United States Army veteran.
Arthur was an electrical and instrumentation technician with ExxonMobil, and
retired after thirty-eight years of employment. Arthur was a member of Knights
of Columbus #951.
He
is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Billie Goodeaux; children, Mary
Sue Hamilton and her husband, David, of Beaumont; Arthur Lee “Bubba” Goodeaux,
Jr., of China; Paul Goodeaux and his wife, Kim and Ginger Payne and her
husband, John, all of China; and Michael Goodeaux and his wife, Jennifer, of
Beaumont; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Dean
Kuebodeaux and her husband, Ronnie.
Arthur
is preceded in death by his parents.
A
Rosary for Mr. Goodeaux will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of his
family and friends to follow, Friday, June 5, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00
a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West
Highway 90, China. Interment will follow at China Cemetery, with Wayne Hamilton,
Justin Payne, Joshua Payne, Keith Goodeaux, Jimbo Ballinger, and David Hamilton
serving as pallbearers.

lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows
Catholic Church, P.O. Box 38, China, Texas 77613.
