Jeremy Lynn Cogar, Sr.

Jeremy Lynn Cogar, Sr., 36, of Lumberton, died
Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He was born on January 24,
1979, to Louise Marie Hebert and William Lee Cogar, Sr., in Port Arthur.
After graduating Lumberton High School in 1997,
Jeremy went on to work many years in the petro chemical field, settling into a
career as a safety supervisor. He had a love for the game of soccer and played
for most of his life all over Southeast Texas. Jeremy was said to be one of the
best defenders to ever play the game! He loved being a father and spending time
with his family and friends. Jeremy was known for his big smile and was a
friend to so many people. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Amanda Garza;
children, Jeremy Lynn Cogar, Jr. and Ayrlynn Cogar, all of Lumberton; father,
William “Billy” Cogar, Sr. of Port Arthur; mother, Louise Marie Hebert of
Orange; brother, William “Billy” Cogar, Jr. of Port Arthur; and grandmother,
Nettie Lucille Hebert of Bridge City.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his daughter, Jayla
Skye Cogar; and grandparents, Felix Roy Hebert; Thomas L. Cogar; and Ruby
DeLord Cogar.
A gathering of Mr. Cogar’s family and friends will
begin at 6:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Friday,
May 29, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His cremation
will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
