Ruby Gertheen McNeely Stephenson

Ruby
Gertheen McNeely Stephenson, 88, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015. She
was born on July 12, 1926, in Village Mills, to Lela Wilkerson McNeely and
Louis McNeely, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Ruby was a
homemaker, and later retired from the nutrition department with Beaumont Independent
School District.
She
is survived by her sons, Jerry Stephenson and his wife, Paula and William
Stephenson and his wife, Debbie, all of Vidor; grandchildren, Kevin Stephenson,
Michael Stephenson, Kimberly Olexa, Teresa Rivera, Billie St. Clair, Wayne
Stephenson, and Colleen Prejean; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Ruby
is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin A. Stephenson; son, Keith Arnold and
his wife, Darlene; and four siblings.
A
gathering of Mrs. Stephenson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until
9:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Broussard’s,
with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
