Shirley M. Guidry, 84, of LaBelle, died Thursday, May 7,
2015. She was born on August 6, 1930, in Port Arthur, to Lawless and Velma
Lacobie.
Shirley loved traveling and fishing at the lakes. She
cherished her family and grandkids. Shirley worked in an RV park in Branson,
Missouri and enjoyed this very much. She was a real trooper to the end.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Gary Phillips and his wife,
Brenda, of Port Arthur and Danny Phillips of Nederland; step-daughter, Lynda
Wood of Port Neches; sister, Brenda Smith and her husband, Gary, of Katy;
grandchildren, Kandi Simmons, Amber Owens, Monica McClintock, Cindy Ward, Jimmy
Bosarge, Brenda Fontenot, and Brent Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Guidry;
son, Michael Phillips; and brother, Lester Lacobie; and father of her three
boys, Harold Phillips.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Marie
Peltier, Marlene Mazzell, Darlene Hardgraves, Janis Holzapapfel, and Vicki
Christi for all the kindness and special care you gave.
A gathering of Mrs. Guidry’s family and friends will begin
at 6:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 11,
2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her
interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
