Armando Jose Garza, 62, of
Silsbee, died Thursday, April 30, 2015.
He was born on May 6, 1952, in McKinney,
to Antonia Gonzales Garza and Domingo Garza.
Armando served during the Vietnam era in the United States
Army and also in the Army Reserves. Armando later worked as a security guard
with Securitas.
Survivors include his children,
Esteven Solis and his wife, Josette, of Amarillo; Daniel “Chico” Garza of
Austin; Eliseo Garza and his wife, Sonya, of Stinnett; Joshiabeth Garza of
Silsbee; Ashley Galvan and her husband, Joseph, of Temple; and Joshua Mettlen
and his wife, Ashley, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Svannah Solis, Jonathon Garza,
Izaiah Garza, Koda Garza, Caden Hecht, and Ella Mettlen; and sister, Julia
Guzman of Canyon. He is preceded in
death by his parents; and brother, Eliseo Garza.
A gathering of Armando’s family
and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015, at
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be
10:00 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2015, at New Beginnings Church Assembly of God, 1614
FM 105, Evadale, with his interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
