Warner J. Nunez

Warner, J. Nunez, 77, of Hemphill, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015. He was born on July 23, 1937, in Port Arthur, to Hazel and Numa J. Nunez.

Warner was a United States Army veteran and had retired as a chemist from Texaco. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and made and sold knives. Warner enjoyed cooking and made the best pumpkin pies and caramel pecan pies. 

Survivors include his sons, Alan Nunez and his wife, Lisa, of Nederland; Kurt O’Conner of Oregon; Eric Nunez and his wife, Tabitha, of California; and Scot Nunez and his wife, Kim, of Katy; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Patti Lackey of Nacogdoches.

A memorial service for Mr. Nunez will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
