Lois Dee Hayes, 53, of Beaumont,
died Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born on April 7, 1962, in Palestine, to
Mary Elizabeth Spence and Ernest Alvin Light.
Lois was a passionate baker and
cake decorator, who enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her husband,
Michael Hayes of Beaumont; son, Jason Dupree and his wife, Ashley, of
Nederland; daughters, Stacey Montgomery and Lisa Hayes, both of Beaumont; and
Michelle Hayes of Kountze nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; father,
Alvin Light of Beaumont; sisters, MaryAnn Johnston of Silsbee, Sonnie Benson of
Florida, and Wanda Light-Avants of Tyler; and brothers, Arnold Northcutt of
Fannett and Gaylon Light and James Light both of Palestine.
She was preceded in death by her
mother.
A private family committal for
Ms. Hayes will be held at a later date at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont,
under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland.
