Rena Jane Gardner, 68, of Wildwood, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont, Texas. She was born on December 28, 1946, in Leonardtown, Maryland, to Edith Crouse Jones and Warren Roosevelt Jones. Rena was a human resource manager with the United States Government and longtime member of Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Janet Gardner of Falls Church, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, G.C. “Jake” Gardner; and brother, Warren “Sonny” Jones, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service for Rena will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church, 5943 FM 3063, Village Mills, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, Texas, and will be interred next to her husband, G.C. “Jake” Gardner, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, Texas
