Adam Wayne Amy, 85, of Groves,
died Monday, April 13, 2015. He was born on November 28, 1929, in Lake Charles,
Louisiana, to Estelle Bergeron and Adam Amy, and had been a long time resident
of the area.
Adam worked as a chemical plant
controlman at Texaco for forty-two years. He is United States Air Force
Veteran. Adam loved classical music, football, and baseball, especially the
Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
He is survived by his loving
wife, Betty Amy, of Groves; sons, Gary Amy and his wife, Laurel, of Port
Arthur; Brian Amy and his wife, Brenda, of Fannett; and Keith Amy of Groves;
grandchildren, Kristy Amy, Brian Amy, Jr., Blake Amy, Nancy Amy, Britni Amy,
Taylor Amy; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mr. Amy
will be held at 2:00 pm., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Tranquility Mausoleum, Oak
Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North
12th Street, Nederland.
