Mary Odelia Simon

Mary Odelia Simon, 88, of Winnie, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at her residence. She was born on February 8, 1927, in Crowley, Louisiana.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hudson and her husband, Jackie, of Winnie and Cathy Walls, of Zena, Ohio; sons, Louis Monceaux, of Kansas and Ronald Doucet, of Norway; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maelozie Touchete; husband, Wilfred Simon; and son, Daniel Clement.

A Rosary for Mrs. Simon will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Street, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
