Betty Jean Baldree, 83, of
Silsbee, died Thursday, April 2, 2015.
She was born on October 21, 1931, in Henderson, to Ada Bell Arnold Lacy and
William Clyde Lacy.
Mrs. Baldree was a writer and
along with her husband, owned several businesses. She also worked as an assistant administrator
at East Texas
Convalescent Center
in San Augustine and Hardin
Memorial Hospital
in Kountze. Church was very important to
her and teaching children about Jesus was her passion. Mrs. Baldree worked with the children of her
church since the age of 14.
Survivors include her husband of
sixty-two years, Milton Baldree; children, Wesley Baldree and his wife, Sharon,
of Silsbee and Kim Sowell and her husband, Dean, of San Augustine;
grandchildren, Daniel Baldree of Silsbee; Samantha Baldree of Scott City,
Kansas; and Matthew Baldree of Silsbee; and daughter-in-law, Patrina McGonagle
of Scott City, Kansas. She is preceded
in death by her parents; and son, Tim Baldree.
A gathering of Mrs. Baldree’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 5,
2015, at First Pentecostal Church, 1403 North 5th Street, Silsbee,
under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, at the
church. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. at
Rosevine Cemetery, FM 1, Rosevine, Texas.
