Shirley Bratten, 56, of Winnie,
died Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born on March 5, 1959, in Ponca City,
Oklahoma, to Florence Lillie Mueller and Conway Harris Dye, and had been a
resident of Winnie since 2003.
Shirley enjoyed gardening and she
was very artistically inclined. She will be remembered for her kind heart and
willingness to help others. Shirley was a foster mother to many children.
She is survived by her husband of
nineteen years, Garry Bratten of Winnie; daughters, Anna Belle Bratten of
Winnie and Kimberly Hickerson and her husband, Atley, of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma; mother, Florence Martin and her husband, Donald, of Schertz; father,
Conway Dye and his wife, Loretta, of Norman, Oklahoma; sisters, Connie Baugh of
San Antonio and Dawn Anderson of Schertz; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host
of other relatives, friends, and extended family members.
A memorial service for Mrs.
Bratten will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at First Baptist Church, 120
West Pear Avenue, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West
Buccaneer, Winnie. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial

Texas 77701.
