Michael "Mule" Wayne Johnson
February 19, 1963 - March 13, 2015
Michael Wayne “Mule” Johnson, 52, died Friday, March 13,
2015. He was born on February 19, 1963, in Port Arthur, to Mary Lou Duhon and
Ben Edward Johnson, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Michael was an instrument technician at Motiva. He was very
involved with Q’ing for a Cause and numerous other charities. He was a member
of Mid-County FOE 3743 and Immaculate Conception Council 3491, Groves. He enjoyed
riding his motorcycle. A Friend of Bill W’s, Mule will be most remembered for
all he humbly gave back to the fellowship; but most importantly, all the
friendships he gained during those twenty-two years.
He is survived by his mother, Mary D. Johnson of Nederland;
sister, Jennifer Ann Johnson of Nederland; brothers, Ben Riley Johnson and his
wife, Wimberlee, of Buna and David Johnson and his wife, Trisha, of Vidor;
nieces and nephews, Brandi, Charla, Jessika, Ben, and Paige; five great-nieces;
one great-nephew; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Ben Johnson.
A gathering of Mr. Johnson’s family and friends will begin
at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March
21, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A family
committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium at a later date.
