Perry
Lee Williams, 86, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. A native and
lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on September 8, 1928, to Edna Lee
Williams and Perry Floyd Williams.
Perry
was a United States Marine Corps veteran and worked all of his life in the
oilfield industry. It was his passion. He enjoyed taking his dog, “Missy”, on
long walks. Perry loved the spring time and watching the beauty of God’s
creation come to life.
He
is survived by his daughter, Linda Meehan and her husband, Tim, of Lumberton;
grandson, Joseph Crawford and his wife, Christie, of Booneville, Arkansas, whom
he helped raise like his own son; brother, Perry Floyd Williams, Jr. and his
wife, Nola Mae, of Lumberton; five other grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and
nieces that loved him dearly.
Perry
is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Williams; daughter, Mary
Ann Taylor; brother, Ervin Andrew Williams; sisters, Edna Marie Williams and
Rachael Louise Leicht.
Cremation
arrangements were under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. Mr. Williams’ wishes were to be cremated and not to have any
services. His family will follow those wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
