Cathy Abbott, 61, of Groves, died Sunday, March 8, 2015.

 Cathy enjoyed cooking, hunting, and fishing. She will be remembered for her warm heart and her love for animals.

Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years, Gary Abbott of Groves; sons, Dylan Wade and his wife, McKenna, of Port Neches; Johnny Mumme and his wife, Sherry, of Lake Jackson; Gary Wayne Abbott, II and his wife, Betty, of Rogers, Missouri; Gary Wayne Abbott, III and his wife, Donna, of Silsbee; and Jeffery Abbott and his wife, Hailey, of Cartridge, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Wade and Doris Pettis and her husband, Tommy, all of Collins, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Adam Wade; brother, Mitchell Wade; and sister, Carolyn Wade.

A memorial service for Mrs. Abbott will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015, at First Assembly of God, 2024 Nederland Avenue, Nederland. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
