Elizabeth Lecy Dixon

Elizabeth Lecy Dixon, 83, of Nederland, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, in Port Arthur. She was born on November 27, 1931, in Nacogdoches, to Laura Ellen Montes and Sidney Bryant Herrick, and had been a long time resident of the area. Elizabeth worked at Nederland’s Windmill for many years.

She is survived by her son, Richard Dixon and his wife, Jan, of Wingate; daughters, Deborah Pretty and her husband, Brian, of Brunswick, Georgia and Sonya Dixon of Nederland; grandchildren, Michael Fergus, Matthew Pretty, Michael Pretty, Scott Nutt, and Billy Nutt; and seven great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Willie David Dixon.

A gathering of Mrs. Dixon’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
