Nettie Mae Collins, 93, of Nederland, died
Wednesday, February 11, 2015. She was
born on March 27, 1921, in Gary,
Texas, to Minnie Mae Jordan
Purvis and William Rufus Purvis.
Survivors include her son, Coy
Collins, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Mike Monk and
his wife, Julie, of Houston; Wesley Monk and his wife, Eden, of Freeport;
Rachel Doyle of Canada; and Patrick Collins and his wife, Andrea, of Lumberton;
seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Coy Lee Collins, Sr.; son, Arthur Clyde Collins; and daughter, Betty
Laverne Purghan.
A gathering of Mrs. Collins’
family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with her funeral
service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee, with her interment following at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
