Steve Simon

Steve Simon, 50, of Winnie, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at The Winnie Community Hospital. He was born on May 2, 1964, in Beaumont, to Sharon Simon and Stephen Wallace Simon. Steve was a lifelong resident of the Winnie area, and had been employed as a transporter, in the trucking industry.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Simon, of Beaumont; father, Stephen Simon and his wife, Ann, of Livingston; sons, Stephen Blake Simon, and his wife, Brandy, of Iowa, Louisiana; Sammy Simon, Lane Simon, and Chase Simon, all of Winnie; daughters, Courtney Scully and her husband, Josh and Brooke Varnum, all of Pearland; grandchildren, Austin Sonnier, Cameron Simon and Ava Simon; sister, Shannon Frugia and her husband, Jason, of Beaumont; and niece, Sophia Frugia.

A gathering of Mr. Simon’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Cornerstone Church, 3810 Highway 124, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
