Esperanza
“Penzie” Rodriguez, 69, of Beaumont, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at
Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on August 5, 1945,
to Petra Malazarte Teves and Jose Teves, in Cebu City, Philippines.
Survivors
include her children, Carlo Rodriguez of the Philippines, Erwin Rodriguez of
New Zealand, Nicolo Rodriguez of the Philippines, Miguel Rodriguez of the
Philippines, and Raphaella Williams of Beaumont; grandchildren, Isabella
Williams, Luke Williams, Justin Rodriguez, Isaac Rodriguez, and Raul Rodriguez;
brothers, Arturo Teves and Nestor Teves; and sisters, Mae Lagtapon, Angela Li,
and Samantha Hannibal; and longtime best friend, Eva Vasquez.
Penzie
is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Rodriguez; brothers,
Victor Teves, Tony Teves and Vicente Teves; and sister, Linda Monteroyo.
A
gathering of Mrs. Rodriguez’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until
3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. The Mass Intention at 8:15 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2015, will be in
memory of Mrs. Rodriguez, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 2865 Gladys
Avenue, Beaumont. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
