Viola Maxwell Judice
August 10, 1918 - February 1, 2015
Viola Maxwell Judice, 96, of Beaumont, died Sunday,
February 1, 2015, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She
was born August 10, 1918, in Maurice, Louisiana, to Cloma Simon and John
Portalise Broussard, and had been a longtime resident of the area.
Viola worked for Baker Williford and Nederland
Pharmacies, and had been the cafeteria manager of Langham Elementary, before
retiring to LaBelle. Viola was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She
loved children, especially those in need. Viola opened her home and her heart
to all the Lord sent to her. A beautiful woman inside and out, she was a gifted
seamstress, quilter, gardener, and cook. Her joy was her family and big family
gatherings. Her wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love for each of them
will be forever cherished. The greatest gift she gave was her Christian faith.
Viola truly loved as Christ loved.
She is survived by her daughters, Clarice Luke of
Beaumont and Dee Halbert and her husband, David, of Abilene; son, Rick Maxwell
and his wife, Jessie, of Port Neches; numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Willie Mae
Ingwersen; and brothers, Dudley Broussard of Sulphur, Louisiana and Issac
Broussard and his wife, Georgia, of Deridder, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband of
fifty-three years, U.A. Maxwell; parents; son, Victor Maxwell; husband of nine
years, Shelby Judice; and numerous brother and sisters.
A gathering of Mrs. Judice’s family and friends
will begin at 11:00 a.m., with her Rosary to be recited at 12:00 p.m.,
Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Thursday,
February 5, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue,
Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
