James "Steve" Stephen Feltman
July 23, 1940 - January 28, 2015
James Stephen “Steve” Feltman,
74, of Nederland, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015. A native and lifelong
resident of the area, he was born on July 23, 1940, in Port Arthur, to Myrtis
Rebecca Perry and Edwin Franklin Feltman.
Steve was a United States Navy
veteran and later worked many years as a pipefitter with Local 195. He retired
as a correctional officer from Jefferson County after eleven years of service.
He was an avid supporter of the Nederland Bulldogs and will be remembered as a
loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his loving wife
of fifty-six years, Belva Feltman; daughters, Penny Davis and her husband,
Austin, of Houston and Terri Westby and her husband, Larry, of Dripping
Springs; son, Tim Feltman and his wife, Jennifer, of Nederland; grandchildren,
Logan, Anna, Brian, Mara, and Cole; brother, Billy Feltman and his wife, Janet,
of Lufkin; sister, Doris Bilderback and her husband, Carl, of Pottsboro;
step-brother, Archie Land, Jr. and his wife, Janell, of Nederland; and his
loving cat, Baby.
He is preceded in death by his
parents; brother, Jack Feltman; and sister, Dian Goodman.
A gathering of Mr. Feltman’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 30,
2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Broussard’s, with
interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
