Sherril Faith Fowler Riley, 74,
of Nederland, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in Port Arthur. She was born on
November 9, 1940, in Nederland, to Beulah Marie LeBoeuf and Lloyd Fowler, and
had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Sherril was a great cook and
loved to take care of her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and
birdwatcher.
She is survived by her high
school sweetheart, and husband of fifty-three years, James Riley of Nederland;
daughters, Shelda Winton and her husband, Buck, of Nederland and Ruth “Ann”
Butaud and her husband, Neil, of Fannett; six grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Johnson and Janice Sapp; brother, Jack
Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews that she much loved.
She is preceded in death by four
brother; and seven sisters.
A gathering of Mrs. Riley’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary
recited at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Monday, January 19, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street,
Port Neches, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port
Neches.
