Curtis Killion

Curtis Killion, 85, of
Nederland, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was born on December 28, 1929, in
Diboll, to Lois Shaw and Eugene Thomas Killion, and had been a longtime
resident of the area.
Curtis was a United
States Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War. He graduated from
Lamar University with honors in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Curtis
retired from Ameripol and Synpol after forty years as a plant controller and
accounting manager. He enjoyed sports and was a longtime member of First United
Methodist Church, Nederland.
Survivors include his
loving wife of fifty-nine years, Sue Killion of Nederland; son, Kurt Killion
and his wife, Lisa Dwyer, of Lumberton; nephews, Michael Dent and his wife,
Sharon, of Denver, Colorado and Ronald Holt of Beaumont; and grandson, James
Dwyer of Vidor.
He is preceded in death
by his parents; and sisters, Mavis Dent and Genita Holt.
A gathering of Mr.
Killion’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday,
January 15, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015, at First
United Methodist Church, 104 North 13th Street, Nederland, with interment to
follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
