Anna Kathleen James, 94, of Vidor, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on January 8, 1920, in Singleton, Texas, to Era Colson Wren and Thomas Hicks Wren, Sr. Anna was a retired theatre manager.
Survivors include her sisters, Era Beth Jowers of Jacksonville and Myra Jean Dixon of Vidor; five nephews; two nieces; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John B. James; son, Johnny James; brother, Thomas Wren, Jr.; and sister, Felma Mashburn
A gathering of Mrs. James’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Holland Cemetery, Holland Cemetery Road, Kountze, Texas.
