Jane Dupre Andrepont

Jane Dupre Andrepont, 73, of Nederland, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, in Port Arthur. She was born in Washington, Louisiana, July 28, 1941, to Annie Sebastien Dupre and Marshall Dupre.

Jane retired from Nederland I.S.D., where she worked in the cafeteria at Nederland High School. She then volunteered at Mid-Jefferson Hospital and The Southeast Texas Medical Center. Jane loved her family, bingo, reading, crocheting, and her slot machines.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Gene Andrepont of Nederland; son, Shane Andrepont and his wife, Lee, of Kingwood, Texas; daughter, Tammy Andrepont of Scott, Louisiana; grandchildren, Amber Guillory, Bryce Guillory, Jordan Andrepont, and Logan Andrepont; brother, Huet “Picheau” Dupre; mother-in-law, Verda Andrepont, and numerous other family members.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vorance Dupre; and father-in-law, Rufus Andrepont.

A Rosary for Mrs. Andrepont will be recited on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. An additional gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at LaVille Funeral Home, 2353 East Main Street, Ville Platte, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Dupre Family Cemetery in Plaisance, Louisiana.
