Julia Garcia Rodriguez,
100, of Beaumont, died on Friday, December 26, 2014, at The Oaks at Beaumont.
She was born February 16, 1914, in Mexico, to Maria Henrietta Herrera Garcia and
Victor Garcia, and was a long time resident of the Beaumont area.
Julia is survived by her
children, Henrietta Hartman; Frances Rodriguez and her husband, Frank; Alice
Loftin and her husband, Louis; Linda Harvey and her husband, David; Robert
Garcia; and Jimmy Garcia and his wife, Paula; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren;
and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in
death by her husband, Guadalupe Rodriguez; sons, Leon, Paul, and Jimmy Garcia.
A Rosary for Mrs.
Rodriguez will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Broussard’s,
2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with a visitation to follow. A Funeral Mass
will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, at Our Lady of
Victory Catholic Church, 225 West Barkley, Sour Lake, with a committal to
follow at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
